General Motors whistleblower comes forward with evidence of industry deception

Brought against GM by one of its own engineers, this case claims GM suppressed discoveries of serious safety defects made by its own audit division, punished employees who raised evidence of defects, and strongly discouraged reporting to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) about safety problems.
